we hosted illustrious musicians
In the sign of the versatility and attention paid to a choice of repertoire aimed at involving an increasingly wider audience with particular attention to young people, the interest that the group has always shown in the border repertoire is also significant. Hence the birth of collaborations and projects with artists such as Franco Battiato, Goran Bregovic, Uri Caine, Chick Corea, Paolo Fresu, Ludovico Einaudi, Michael Nyman, Cesare Picco, Enrico Rava, Antonella Ruggiero, Gianluigi Trovesi, Richard Galliano and many others.
The concerts of I Virtuosi Italiani have always been crowned with enthusiastic acclaim from critics and the public. This is what Enrico Girardi writes in the “Corriere della Sera”: «The Virtuosi Italiani are an ensemble of absolute value. They tackle the baroque, the classic and the contemporary not only with ease, but with a determination, a polish and an "adrenaline" that produces life and tension without pushing beyond the limits of a wise stylistic relevance".
Since 2011 they have been the protagonists of a Concert Season, in the Church of the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice, the place where Antonio Vivaldi played, taught and gave birth to all his works throughout his life.
