THE ITALIAN VIRTUOSES
Mario Brunello is one of the most fascinating, complete and sought-after artists of his generation. Soloist, conductor, chamber musician and recent pioneer of new sounds with his piccolo cello, he was the first European to win the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1986. Brunello is a cellist gifted with a talent and expressive freedom beyond common, which allow him to deal with repertoires ranging from ancient to contemporary music with equal sensitivity.
